This
charming community of 285, accessible by floatplane or road, and a mere
100 south of Anchorage, 45 miles from Seward and 125 miles from Homer,
combines the pioneer spirit with true Alaskan hospitality. Each
year, millions of Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden beckon anglers
from around the globe, to fish in the incredible turquoise waters of the
Kenai River. Also accessible from Cooper Landing is the Kenai
National Wildlife Refuge, covering approximately two million acres.
Hiking trails abound here, leading over creeks and rivers, through
forests, and to mountain peaks, giving the hiker ample opportunity to see

Located
on the shores of magnificent Kenai Lake, this is a bed and breakfast like
no other. From the moment you arrive you'll feel pampered beyond belief as
you pull on warm cozy slippers, make some herbal tea, or just gaze at the lake
from the hot tub. The main facility will accommodate 6 people
comfortably. By the night, the master suite, complete with
king size bed and private bath, is offered for , or the downstairs
bedroom, full size bed and shared bath for just

organic breakfast foods, natural fiber linens, guest laundry, robe, slippers and
hair dryers provided. Also available is the Dreamtime's cabin (available
winters only) which includes a full size bed

there is a 2% room tax. Also available are special rates for longer stays
and special events. The day health spa transports into the
realm of massage therapy, polarity therapy and organic facials, allowing each

Stay and Play Right on the River with the Pros
These Great People celebrate
their 24th year as fishing guides in Alaska and
employ experienced, well qualified guides. Guests can book anything from a
few days of guided fishing to Lodge packages and day fishing to 6 or 7 day float
trips. The packages include deluxe riverfront lodging, with Jacuzzi tubs
and coffee bars in each room, continental breakfast, lunch, all fishing tackle
and licensed, your own professional guide and fish packing and
freezing. Guests can fish for trout, salmon, Dolly Varden, or halibut on a package, or can opt for a scenic float trip.
Special rare permits allow Alaska River Adventures to offer trips in Kenai
National Wildlife Refuge, Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, Chugach
National Forest, Katmai National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park, Lake
Clark National Park. Scenic floats start at

float, and half day fishing on the Upper Kenai River start at

Alaska + Horses= What a Great Combination!
Whether
you choose a half-day or full day trail ride, whether you decide on a winter
sleigh ride, or a romantic carriage ride on a long summer afternoon, whether
you've never sat on a horse before, or you are an old hand, you are going to
have a great time. The trail rides
take you through Cooper Landing's back country, to the base of Mt. Langille,
where you most likely will spot sheep playing high up on the rock face. A snack
break is provided and you'll definitely want to have your camera at the ready -
with plenty of extra film! This half day adventure is scheduled to head
out at 9am and 2pm. A full day trip is just the ticket if you want to meet
nature on her own terms and just enjoy the outdoors. You'll ride into a
remote mountain valley in the Chugach National Forest, with a leisurely lunch
break. Relax and enjoy the scenery! In the two hour valley tour,
you'll find yourself riding your horse through a silent forest, crossing Quartz
Creek and taking a break on the shores of beautiful Kenai Lake. This ride
departs at 9:30am, 2:30 pm and even offers a wonderful evening ride at
6pm. Winter rides, sleigh rides, and carriage rides are available, as are
accommodations for group retreats, including a fire pit, horse shoes, a sauna,
