Located in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula, Soldotna, covering 7.5 miles and having approximately 3,759 residents,  offers year round recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. From summer fishing the Kenai River for king, sockeye and silver salmon, Cook Inlet for Halibut, or local streams and lakes for trout and Dolly Varden, to snow machining and cross country skiing in the winter, to year round sightseeing....you won't soon run out of things to do. Summers are pleasant with July temperatures between 45 and 66 degrees, and winters are relatively mild with temperatures in January ranging from 6 to 24 degrees.  Commercial ventures in Soldotna include fishing, oil and gas, tourism and service and retail. Visitors may see migratory birds, waterfowl, moose, bears and caribou during their visit here.

This charming bed and breakfast, in a country setting, just 6 miles from Soldotna is a perfect spot for a getaway, or to "home base" from while enjoying all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer.  Visitors have two options here, either the comfortable 18x18 cabin, with it's fully equipped kitchen, living area, private bath and sleeping loft for four, or the inviting one bedroom apartment in the house, including private bath, living area, fully equipped kitchen, and and semi-private entrance.  Rates:  Cabin , Apartment: and include continental breakfast.  Rates based on double occupancy, add $10 for each additional person. Sitting on the dock of the River...In Alaska!

Charming duplex cabins, situated in a wilderness setting, amid the peace and serenity of the Kenai River.  Each cabin has a private bath, small refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee pot.  There is a picnic table and gas grill in front of cabins.  Guests can fish from the boat dock for trout or Dolly Varden, or choose to fish with an experienced Alaskan guide. You could opt  to take a scenic boat ride on the River or just relax on the deck and watch for such wildlife as brown and black bear, moose, caribou, and eagles.  Rates for a cabin with queen bed, per night;  Cabin with 4 single beds, per night.  Please add $25 for each additional person.  Continental breakfast included in rates.  Also available:  freezer space, fish smoker, packing and shipping materials, canning can be arranged. Ask for LKR

Guided Salmon Fishing Trips:   Half day: per person, full day: per person, June and July.  Saltwater Charter for Halibut and King Salmon:  per person, all gear and tackle provided.

Casperhouse Bed & BreakfastSnuggled in amongst the trees, this enchanting  "Gingerbread House" will delight you.  Choose from one of two private bedrooms, each with queen bed and a great view. The two rooms share a full bath.  A very large deck and BBQ grill are available for guest use, as is the main living area, complete with a wood stove and cable TV/VCR.  A gourmet or continental breakfast is served each morning, including hot homemade bread,  as requested, after 6:30 am.  Included in room rate: cookies, muffins, welcome drink, welcome appetizer's. Enjoy the view overlooking the Kenai Mountain Range and the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and choose between 3 large custom built cabins, the Hide-a-way, and the Guest House.  Amenities include private phones, TV, and BBQ grill, with a VCR available upon request.  Two of these charming cabins have a full bath,  standup loft bedroom and full kitchen.  The Iliamna is equipped with a full kitchen, full bath upstairs, 2 private bedrooms and half bath downstairs, and incredible view from private deck.  Rates:  The Iliamina Cabin $185 triple occupancy,   Cabins: double occupancy, Guest House: double occupancy. Fishing, elegance and rustic all in the same place?  Yep, right here in Soldotna, Alaska on the banks of the Kenai River.  Whether you choose a cabin or a room in the lodge, you'll be treated to an environment with all hand-made beds and furnishings.  In the lodge, each room is appointed with a queen or two single beds, cathedral ceilings, private bath, TV and coffeemaker.  Each of the waterfront cabins boasts a kitchen, full bath, master bedroom downstairs, with queen bed and four twin beds up in a full loft, and a grand sitting area. 

Guided King salmon fishing packages, May, June and July, Guided Silver Salmon packages - August and September, Self-guided boat rental packages available May through September . All packages include a hearty continental breakfast. All guided fishing packages include experienced guides, quality equipment, bait, and one 70 lb box of processed ( filleting, vacuum packing and freezing) fish, all boat rental, self guided clients need to supply own fishing equipment.  Salmon and halibut trips approximately 6 hours.
